Director/AVP of Sales ( Experience: 5 - 8 Years )

Primary responsibilities include

  • Meet/Exceed sales goals as assigned through aggressive tactical plans for sustainable revenue growth
  • Research, source, make initial contact (cold calling, telephone prospecting), and meet potential clients to accurately qualify the prospect and establish needs
  • Work closely with the others in the Business Development team to generate new leads
  • Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics and requirements
  • Network and actively participate in events and conferences that may be hosted nationwide
  • Ensure partnership with fellow field sales leaders, insides sales, overlay sales, and channel sales partners is successful and meets company strategic objectives
  • Manage all activities through the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system ensuring consistency and accuracy
  • Provide accurate and timely territory plans and pipeline forecasts
  • Represent customer, market and business issues back to the company
  • Manage expense according to budget and requirements. Analyze and control expenditures of division to conform to budgetary requirements
  • Stay involved with building and maintaining relationships with key customers
  • Review and approve within company guidelines pricing

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required in marketing, business, or education fields.
  • A minimum of 8 years sales experience
  • *A minimum of 5 years successful sales experience in higher education or technology*
  • Demonstrated experience and success utilizing CRM software to build, predict, and manage accurate sales forecasts and pipelines
  • Network and actively participate in events and conferences that may be hosted nationwide
  • Strong initiative
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, highly motivated, customer empathy and ethics
  • Consistent demonstration of meeting and/or exceeding annual sales goals and quota
  • Ability to travel
