Surveys

The survey feature built into ProRetention™ is a useful tool for creating and managing student surveys. The workflow for setting up a survey, obtaining approval to publish the survey, and publishing it has been created keeping the industry best practices in mind. Surveys are web based and are sent to the student portal or to his/her email inbox. Survey results can be gathered, stored, and analyzed for generating a variety of reports. These electronic surveys, which replace paper surveys, help in trend analysis and in recycling a survey from the past.

A June 2009 survey conducted by AcademicMAPS found that 72% of students leave a college for customer satisfaction-related issues. Essentially, the study showed that students who have a difficult time "navigating the system" are less likely to continue. Potential drivers of poor "customer service" include the inability of students to manage a school's bureaucracy, difficulty in selecting the right courses and in setting up an academic plan, or not being contacted by (or able to get in touch with) financial and enrollment counselors.
